North Charleston to swear in new District 1 council member Friday evening

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C (WCIV) — Greg Perry will take the oath of office Friday evening to become the newest member of the North Charleston City Council, representing District 1.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Greg Perry is the projected winner of Tuesday’s special election for North Charleston’s District 1 city council seat.

He totalled more votes than the five other candidates, receiving more than 37% of the vote. In the wake of the announcement, Perry tells News 2 that he is excited and honored to serve the city where he grew up.
